Failed over pressure switch on Keurig Model B44. Click to enlarge.
The fairly expensive Keurig line of coffee brewers. Apparently they last about a year. This is a model B44 which we had come to rely upon, but over time less and less water came out the spout — what should have been a full cup was half a cup, then less, and less, and finally about none.
No, it wasn’t limed up, and it wasn’t needing to have air blown backwards through it. It was a plain old fashioned failed part due to corrosion.
A sale representative, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish.”
“Me first! Me first!”, says the admin clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.”
Puff! She’s gone.
“Me next! Me next!”, says the rep. “I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.”
Puff! He’s gone.
“Okay, you are up,” the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in office after lunch.”
Moral: Always let your boss have the first say.
For whatever unfathonable reason, although almost all PCs have been 64-bit for years, the new Skype must have the 32 bit pulse audio libraries to work. The rest of the new Skype is drastically improved over the previous Linux versions.
apt-get install libpulse0:i386
I found this at http://askubuntu.com/questions/312679/skype-is-not-using-pulseaudio. There were many other sites that proposed solutions, but the one that worked is the above — add the 32-bit libraries: skype won’t use the natural 64-bit libraries.
