Youth Activities is organized to help young hams (and prospective young hams) meet and socialize with other each other. Whether you’re 1 or 21, it is sure to offer something that young hams will enjoy. Come to chat with other hams, listen to music, grab a snack or participate in one of many activities, such as fox-hunts, scavenger hunts, Morse code fun, a QSL card designing contest, crafts, prizes and more.

ARRL is the national association for Amateur Radio in the US. Founded in 1914 by Hiram Percy Maxim as The American Radio Relay League, ARRL is a noncommercial organization of radio amateurs. ARRL numbers within its ranks the vast majority of active radio amateurs in the nation and has a proud history of achievement as the standard-bearer in amateur affairs. ARRL’s underpinnings as Amateur Radio’s witness, partner and forum are defined by five pillars: Public Service, Advocacy, Education, Technology, and Membership.

Parks on the Air (POTA) is an international radiosport award program that encourages licensed amateur radio operators to visit, enjoy and operate portable equipment in a variety of parks and public lands, always respecting other park users and local regulations. POTA issues awards to participants based on a wide range of criteria including the total number of radio contacts made, number made on each amateur radio band, and for different modes of communication including voice, Morse code or FT8.

An overview of the state of battery technology will be presented with a good comparison of the technologies as it applies to Amateur Radio. This official in-person training session is the basic two hour NWS certification for SKYWARN spotters required every two years.

Fldigi is a program that allows an amateur operator to communicate in various \'keyboard-to-keyboard\' digital modes such as PSK, RTTY, MFSK, THOR, and OLIVIA. Together with helper programs like Flmsg (radiogram handling and filing) or Flamp (\'multicast\' large file distribution), the entire "FL" suite of programs can be utilized for everything from casual rag-chewing to being a versatile part of any NBEMS (NarrowBand Emergency Messaging Software) system.
