Global spam levels drop

Posted on November 1, 2010November 1, 2010 by John Nash

From a CyberSecurity blog link, it seems one of the major SPAM sources has suddenly bolted. Russian SPAM King Igor A. Gusev has apparently fled the country in the onset of a government investigation into his activities. It is unknown whether the investigation was spawned as a response to ZeuS/ZBOT adding Russian banks to its targets this time, or if Igor simply forgot to pay his protection money. He accounted for about 1/5 of the SPAM on earth.
