Distributed Workforce

Well, isn’t that amazing…. DUH! Most people would prefer to be evaluated based upon what they actually achieve, not whether or not they sit and look pretty in an office.

But will entrenched management “get it”? People cannot afford to just sit in an office anymore, and businesses can generate more profit if they change with the times: even if that means selling the legacy office building and learning to use a distributed workforce effectively.

The vast majority of workers globally — more than 80 percent — believe the Internet can help them collaborate more and gain more access to more resources. But some industries are much more accepting of this notion than others: 87 percent of engineers, 87 percent of media pros, and 84 percent of educators.
