GRUB Re-Install after Windows

Fix for the various instances in which the GRUB boot loader on a multi-boot system gets trashed, by way of example but not by way of limitation, when installing Windows. A different process that inspired these steps I found hereĀ http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/245. Being a basic old, grouchy, lazy IT guy, I did it this way instead. Notes below.
