Economic freedom recovers under President Trump.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Heritage’s annual Index of Economic Freedom. The index tracks the impact of free-market policies (or the lack thereof) on societies and economies. “America’s economic freedom has seen a dramatic boost—from 18th place in the world to 12th place in the span of just one year,” writes Anthony Kim, research manager and editor of the Index of Economic Freedom. “America’s score ticked up by more than a full point from last year, reaching the highest level in eight years.” Browse this year’s findings.

A common political meme is to say that President Trump should ask all Americans to breath air so that liberals would refuse to breath, their irrational hatred is so intractably virulent.
This chance to return to a more sane government which makes decisions and forms policies that will “form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity (yes, our posterity is those of us who are as yet pre-born)” happened only through the mercy of God invoked through a month of prayer and fasting across the nation prior to the election – no other intervention is capable of defeating the voter fraud of the corrupt Democrat electioneering machine.

It is now 30 years since I launched the campaign for freedom in computing, that is, for software to be free or “libre” (we use that word to emphasize that we’re talking about freedom, not price). Some proprietary programs, such as Photoshop, are very expensive; others, such as Flash Player, are available gratis — either way, they subject their users to someone else’s power.
Much has changed since the beginning of the free software movement: Most people in advanced countries now own computers — sometimes called “phones” — and use the internet with them. Non-free software still makes the users surrender control over their computing to someone else, but now there is another way to lose it: Service as a Software Substitute, or SaaSS, which means letting someone else’s server do your own computing activities.
Why does this control matter? Because freedom means having control over your own life.
